What's Going On? 

Six minuscule copper traces are employed to independently regulate six distinct groups of LED lights. If one or two of these traces break, a phenomenon known as the "stage light" display occurs on your Mac.

As more traces succumb to damage, the darkened areas of the "stage light" intensify. Ultimately, when all six traces are compromised, the result is a complete black screen.

Occasionally, when the screen is closed for an extended period, the flex cable contracts slightly, temporarily reconnecting the fractured copper traces. Consequently, upon reopening the screen slightly, the Mac screen may display a normal image for a brief period. Tilting the screen further, however, exerts stretch pressure that pulls the copper traces apart, leading to the return of the black screen.

The webcam flex cable is also inadequately short, commonly resulting in both the backlight cable and webcam cable breaking in a MacBook Pro. Unlike the well-known backlight flexgate, the "webcam flexgate" remains unfamiliar to most users. Individuals encountering webcam issues often do not attribute them to a faulty webcam flex cable. Many users either resort to using an external webcam to cope with the situation or opt not to use the webcam altogether.
